Latin Vibes in Swindon! From 20th Feb 2024

Dancing in Swindon on a Tuesday night!

Marcus, Becky, and our wonderful community of dancers are ready to welcome you to our dance space! We normally gather just before 7 for a start at 7 o'clock sharp. If you are brand new, try and arrive at 6:45 and introduce yourself - we will answer any questions you have. After that, brand new beginners will receive a basic lesson in steps and turns, before we go on to introduce different concepts and moves every week. Note: our classes are not progressive, you can dip in and out at any time and you'll learn something new! Click here for advance tickets! . Classes are held at: St Mary's Church, SN1 4LB. It has evolved over time, blending elements of bolero (a slow-tempo Latin music style), son, and other Afro-Caribbean rhythms. Initially associated with the lower classes in the Dominican Republic, bachata has grown in popularity globally, especially in Latin America, the United States, Europe, and now of course, Swindon in Wiltshire! Bachata music typically features lyrics that revolve around themes of love, heartbreak, and romance. The melodies are characterized by repetitive guitar patterns, syncopated rhythms, and emotive vocals.
